Again a request for club!! YAY!
They wanted to learn emobssing techniques. Someone saw a card with a raised, uncoloured image and "needed" to know how to do it!
Here we go!
For our first card we whipped out the sanding system and coordinating card stock. Embossed with the honey comb folder and lightly sanded. Love this sanding block! Comes with extra sanding papers as well!
We used the flower single stamp and coordinating punches to make this layered flower. A bit of seam binding ribbon and a sentiment from the mini and coordinating punch...VOILA! Colours used pool party, daffodil delight, primrose petals. Even put a wee dahlia in the centre. :-)
For our second card we opened up the embossing folder and stamped right on it! Talk about a WOW technique! Colours used old olive, pretty in pink and raspberry ripple. We stamped on the carved out side of the folder so that the ink will press onto the "background" of your card and not on your embossed design.
Saying used was from a SAB set.
For this card front we used a brayer! Don't be scared!
Using the SAB DSP for colour scheme we chose a rich razzleberry background, tangerine tango as the ink brayered onto the carved out side of the embossing folder (SAB as well!) A strip of the DSP (that coordinates!) a bow out of the pool party ribbon and using a SAB stamp set we markered up the THANKS, cut it out, sponged the edges and clipped the edge to make a banner.
This brayering/embossing technique was the fave, hands down!

The past few months I really haven't had to come up with a lot of club ideas. My club ladies keep giving me the ideas they want to learn!!
It is great!
This month we had a request for the Chalk Board Technique.
I found two ways that people are doing this technique and while playing and creating the club samples I thought I would show them both ways then show them the way I preferred and thought that would get us the best results.
Here we go!!
Pool party card stock was embossed with the SAB folder. SAB DSP (my FAVE piece!) to add some pattern and colour. We also used the ribbon on this one. LOVE LOVE LOVE that pack! We used island indigo to back up the black chalk board. On this piece of black card stock we stamped in our saying in versa mark and embossed with white powder. Then we used the white water colour pencil to draw on and scuff up the board. Then we used our newly made embossing buddies so make the chalk board look dirty and used. I love the way the words really POP with heat embossing but wasn't thrilled with the embossing buddy/corn starch method (comes off easily)
We used rich razzleberry card stock embossed with chevron. The SAB DSP was used to add a pop of colour. We used framelits to cut out black card stock AFTER it was stamped in white craft ink. We used the white water colour pencil to outline the stamped words and make brush strokes across the black "chalk board." We also sponged the black card stock with white craft ink as well to really give the chalk board a dirty or used look. We dyed one of the flowers from the flower trim with rich razzleberry re-inker and snailed that on the front along with a few pearls of different sizes. I wasn't liking the way the words fade into the background with this technique but loved the look of the used chalk board with the sponging.
SO!!! We combined them!
On this card front we used River rock and embossed it with the wood grain folder. Cut out the center and mounted the black piece behind it.
Using the SAB button and ribbons we decorated the chalk board and even used the SAB punch and DSP to hang a banner across the board. LOVE LOVE LOVE that DSP!!
For this chalk board we heat embossed the images/words with versa mark/white powder and then used the white water colour pencil to make lines create a real chalk board design. Then sponged the whole thing with the white craft ink. LOVE IT! Perfect Chalk Board Technique!
I even used the JANUARY 25th anniversary stamp set all about birthdays and used four different stamps on ONE clear block to get my design.

Time to catch up on Stamp Clubs!!!
For our January stamp club I went with a Valentine theme. Our stamp club meets the second Friday of every month so I knew I wouldn't see these gals in time for V-day.
I usually try to get a new card type and a new stamping technique in for club and this month I was able to do both! YAY!!
The first card we did was one that I cased from Mary Fish. LOVE HER stamping style. You can find her blog HERE
The ladies love doing card fronts how (got them hooked on that a few months ago) so some of us did a black backing and some of us did a white backing. Here are the pics.
We used basic black, real red and whisper white card stock. StazOn ink for the tree from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set. We used Teeny Tiny Wishes for the greeting. We punched the hearts using both the small heart punch and the tiny ones using the owl punch. A ruler and the basic black marker made our lines and with some snail and baker's twine we wrapped the red heart. The other two larger hearts are punched out of white and I stamped on the Delicate Doily in real red and Delightful Decorations (for the polka dots) before punching.
Here is our second card! Gate Fold card and directions can be found HERE
Some of us made pink pirouette cards and some of us made real red cards. In all honesty it all came down to how much 12x12 card stock I had on hand!! LOL
Here is the inside of our cards. I used the large heart punch however if you don't have that one you can use the heart framelits just as easily to punch out the hearts on the sides. I used the sizzlit for the center heart. I embossed very vanilla card stock using an embossing folder for the front and heat embossed the inside piece with a background stamp in versa mark and iridescent ice. A few pearls on the front flowers and VOILA!!
Your turn!! Happy Stamping!

We've searched long and hard for just the right material to be able to introduce completely clear stamping. And we've found it. We're excited to announce that we now have wood-mount, clear-mount AND photopolymer stamps! The new photopolymer will be an addition to our stamp line and will appeal to all types of stampers. Our top-quality photopolymer has just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time and with the introduction of our firm-foam pads, let's just say they're meant for each other! Photopolymer stamps will also be unique, fun designs that will inspire you and provide more versatile options you may not see in our traditional wood- and clear-mount stamp options.
What makes them so great?
They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time.
We could go on, but we'll let you try them for yourself.
They are clearly a great choice!! :-)
