Stamp Club - March 2013

Again a request for club!!  YAY!
They wanted to learn emobssing techniques. Someone saw a card with a raised, uncoloured image and "needed" to know how to do it!

Here we go!
Card #1
For our first card we whipped out the sanding system and coordinating card stock.  Embossed with the honey comb folder and lightly sanded.  Love this sanding block!  Comes with extra sanding papers as well!
We used the flower single stamp and coordinating punches to make this layered flower.  A bit of seam binding ribbon and a sentiment from the mini and coordinating punch...VOILA!  Colours used pool party, daffodil delight, primrose petals.  Even put a wee dahlia in the centre.  :-)

Card #2
For our second card we opened up the embossing folder and stamped right on it!  Talk about a WOW technique!  Colours used old olive, pretty in pink and raspberry ripple.  We stamped on the carved out side of the folder so that the ink will press onto the "background" of your card and not on your embossed design.
Saying used was from a SAB set.

Card #3
For this card front we used a brayer!  Don't be scared!
Using the SAB DSP for colour scheme we chose a rich razzleberry background, tangerine tango as the ink brayered onto the carved out side of the embossing folder (SAB as well!)  A strip of the DSP (that coordinates!) a bow out of the pool party ribbon and using a SAB stamp set we markered up the THANKS, cut it out, sponged the edges and clipped the edge to make a banner.
This brayering/embossing technique was the fave, hands down!
